MCM 32x49 Framed "Lee Reynolds" / Vanguard Studios Oil Painting featuring a pair of little black & yellow birds perched among stylized bamboo branches. Earth tones overall, with off white, dark browns and a bit of reddish/orange. The bright gold tone frame is in great condition, and the painting has the original Vanguard Studios tag. This is a rare 49 x 32 inch vertical piece, perfect for that spot over a smaller, narrow piece of furniture or smaller entry way. ____________________________ **About the studio/artist:** Lee Reynolds, American, 1936-2017: Lee Reynolds Burr opened his Vanguard Studios in Beverly Hills, California, in 1964 to make oil paintings an attainable decoration for any American household. With seascapes, nautical scenes, still lifes, bullfights, cowboys, pastoral views, hot-air balloons, horse races and abstractions, there was a Vanguard Studios creation to match any taste and interior. Although all the paintings were signed "Lee Reynolds", or "Reynolds", these were mostly created by a team of artists organized in an assembly line, hand-painting and copying works, and were supervised by Lee.
